Services for Carol J. Bolt age 74 of Palestine will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, October 9, 2020 at Carroll Spring United Methodist Church with Dan Manuel officiating. Burial will follow in Carroll Springs Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Bailey & Foster Funeral Home. Mrs. Bolt passed away, Tuesday October 6, 2020 at Hospice Home Place in Tyler. She was born October 7, 1946 in Henderson County to William Alexander Johnson and Norma Jane Pierce Johnson. Mrs. Bolt was an avid homemaker. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Mrs. Bolt was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother Rev. Theo Johnson. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, David Bolt, a daughter Crystal Wortham, sons, Wayne Roberts and John Bolt, a sister Nancy Mooney, brothers, Harold Johnson, and Bill Johnson, ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be, Cody Singletary, Jace Bolt, Dylan Bolt, Michael Sheffield, Woody Johnson, and Russell Johnson. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Thursday, October 8, 2020 at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home. Due to the regulations for COVID19 face coverings and social distancing will be required. When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.
